WHAT TO EXPECT WHEN YOU COME TO A CLASS
Since re-opening our doors after the mandatory closure, we have incorporated number of protocols in place to ensure we are keeping our members as safe as possible. We are following all guidelines set out by AHS and the Alberta Government.
The following is what you can expect when you come to a class at the studio. Please review this prior to your first class and familiarize yourself with our procedures.
Please bring a yoga mat (or similar), indoor shoes and a water bottle to your classes. Arrive no more than 10 minutes in advance and wear a mask when entering the studio. Below is a link to our Waiver; please complete and bring with you to your first class.
Please note: If you have any of the following symptoms, please do not attend classes and seek guidance from 811 as to next steps:
Fever, Cough (new cough or worsening chronic cough), Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing (new or worsening), Runny nose, Sore throat, Chills, Painful swallowing, Stuffy nose, Headache, Muscle or joint aches, Feeling unwell, fatigue or severe exhaustion, Gastrointestinal symptoms (nausea, vomiting, diarrhea or unexplained loss of appetite), Loss of sense of smell or taste, Conjunctivitis, commonly known as pink eye”
When we are ready to welcome you into the studio, the door will be propped open to minimize unnecessary touching of the door handle. Please do not arrive more than 5-10 minutes prior to start time. Please put your mask on prior to exiting your vehicle.
A table will be right outside the front door (or just inside depending on the weather) where you will find hand sanitizer, a clipboard with a Alberta Health Daily Checklist and a pen. Please sanitize your hands, review the checklist, and sign your name indicating you do not have any symptoms or reasons to not attend the class as indicated on the checklist.
Before entering the studio, a MASK MUST BE WORN over your nose and mouth. If you do not have one, please let us know and we will provide you with one. Once you are inside, please remove your ‘outdoor’ shoes and place them on the rack or in an empty cubby. You may also leave your other belongings that you do not need for the class in the cubby (we do encourage you to bring your belongings with you to your POD or leave unnecessary items in your vehicle).
In your POD, you will find all necessary sanitized equipment required for your class, as well as hand sanitizer for your use. Once you are in your POD, you may remove your mask. It is not required to be worn during your exercise class.
If you need to leave your POD for any reason, you must put your mask back on until you are back in your POD or have exited the studio.
Once your class is over, please put your mask back on and gather your personal belongings. Please ensure the front door area is clear before making your way out so as to ensure that a group doesn’t gather at the door.
All equipment is to be left in your POD unless otherwise instructed by the instructor.
Please exit the studio promptly; if you choose to visit with other members, please do so outside, maintain at least 6 ft of physical distance and keep your mask on until you are back in your vehicle.
We thoroughly clean, sanitize and disinfect all equipment that is used after every class. This includes benches, weights, bands, gliders, bikes, etc. We also wash the floors, clean the washroom, cubicles, and any and all surfaces that may have been touched. We use disinfectants that are on Health Canada's approved list of hard-surface disinfectants with evidence against COVID-19 .
